No arrests made in connection with Saturday shooting, 1 injured

As of Sunday morning, no suspects had been in charged in connection with a shooting that occurred in Camp Hill on Saturday night.

According to a press release from Camp Hill police chief Corey Shaw, at approximately 9:35 p.m., an incident occurred in the area of Church Court involving multiple gunshots. During the incident, a young Black male sustained non-life-threatening injuries to his left leg near the knee.

No arrests have been made, according to the press release. Shaw said he has no information available on possible suspects.

If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department at 256-825-4264 or the Camp Hill Police Department at 256-895-4411, Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., excluding holidays.

"We ask for your continued prayers and support for the residents of the Church Court area and for the family of the young man who was injured," Shaw said in the release. "Let us all remember — gun violence is never the answer."

Shaw said the shooting had no connection to the Edward Bell Alumni Day that took place earlier in the day Saturday in Camp Hill.
