The Alexander City Sportplex will be the site of the eagerly anticipated Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, Oct. 14. Opening at 8 a.m., free to attend and hosted by the Alexander City Parks and Recreation department, the event will feature a number of vendors and plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained.

“The activities will go from the pavilion to the Elkahatchee side of the park,” said the Parks and Rec Department’s Programs and Special Events Coordinator Kristi Hardy. “We will have transportation taking people from the parking lot next to the football field down to the pavilion area.”
