The Alexander City Police Department is currently investigating the death of James Griffin, 67, of Alexander City. According to ACPD Sgt. Drew Machen, Alex City officers and medics responded to a call between 8:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, Griffin was in the water, where he was ultimately pronounced deceased. 

No further information is available as Machen said the ACPD is conducting a death investigation.
