Not only has Russell Medical turned 100, but it also is making history with the development of the chief medical officer position.

Dr. Michele Goldhagen started at Russell Medical in 1998 and became chief of staff in 2013. Several years later, the position changed to chief medical officer. Goldhagen said it was because of the vision of this current board of directors and CEO Mike Peace, this position was born.
