Paraprofessional Sawyer Milam never imagined himself working in education, but he’s glad he decided to.

Milam first started at Horseshoe Bend School in August 2022. After graduating from HBS himself, he served four years in the Marine Corp and when he came back home, he did welding. But it was time for another change. Milam decided to come back to HBS work at his alma mater and through his efforts, Milam was named HBS support staff of the year.
