Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department finds substance abuse to be one of the main issues in the county. 

During a recent Dadeville Kiwanis meeting, chief deputy Fred White said one thing the department has to alleviate the problem is a multi-agency task force. A few years ago, sheriff Jimmy Abbett noticed the drugs being found in the north part of the county were the same ones being found in the south part.
