Marquell Banks, 20, of Alexander City, has been identified as the shooting victim in an incident that occurred Saturday night.

According to a press release from the Alexander City Police Department, officers responded to a call at the 2000 block of County Road in reference to a gunshot victim at approximately 10:09 p.m. Preliminary investigation revealed Banks had been shot multiple times, the release stated.
