It was bound to happen sooner or later, but the first scholarship offer for Benjamin Russell standout Kenderious “Poochie” Byrd finally came. 

On Saturday, the Benjamin Russell defensive lineman announced on social media that he had received his first Division-I scholarship offer from Samford University. The school itself already has its fair share of knowledge regarding the Wildcats, having signed offensive lineman Daniel Burns earlier in February on National Signing Day.
