Severe weather could be on its way Wednesday night and into the Thursday morning hours.

According to the National Weather Service, a Level 2 risk has been assessed for Tallapoosa, Coosa and Elmore counties; however a Level 3 risk is not far away in the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa areas.
