SEWING MADE EASY: Extension office hosts series of sewing classes

Sewing has never been easier for the attendees at the Tallapoosa County Extension Office Basics of Sewing Class. The Dadeville class was made possible through partnerships with Friends of Opelika, Quilts of Valor and Alex City Memory Makers. Each volunteer shared knowledge on basic sewing machine skills that resulted in a patterned square pillowcase for the class to take home. After seeing such success with this class and the class in Alexander City, the extension office is hosting two more on Oct. 10, which is currently filled, and Oct. 24, which has limited seating available. Registration can be completed online at www.aces.edu/calendar.com.
