Prior to Southern Preparatory's second game of the season against Coosa Valley Academy, football coach Roland Bell announced his resignation from the position.
Bell has served as the head coach since 2018, going 43-39 through his seven years with the program. Southern Prep made it to the playoffs in six of his seven years, with his best year coming in 2019 where the Rangers went 8-4 and made it to the third round of the playoffs before falling to Evangel Christian.

freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and
possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
Secure outdoor objects.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
To prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes they should be
wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.
Those that have in ground sprinkler systems should drain them and
cover above ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
