File / TPI Roland Bell announced his resignation as coach for the Southern Prep football team prior to the Week 2 game against Coosa Valley Academy. Bell had been with the team for seven seasons.

Prior to Southern Preparatory's second game of the season against Coosa Valley Academy, football coach Roland Bell announced his resignation from the position. 

Bell has served as the head coach since 2018, going 43-39 through his seven years with the program. Southern Prep made it to the playoffs in six of his seven years, with his best year coming in 2019 where the Rangers went 8-4 and made it to the third round of the playoffs before falling to Evangel Christian.
