HOMECOMING WOES: Wildcats can’t claw back against Homewood

High school football is just as much about emotion as it is about athletic ability. When Homewood scored 34 points straight out of the gate, it would’ve been easy for Benjamin Russell to pack it in and give up.

But instead of doing that, the Wildcats fought back and gave their packed homecoming crowd something to cheer about. Although BRHS couldn’t catch up to the Patriots, they showed resilience and effort in the second half of a 41-21 Class 6A Region 3 football game on Friday night.
