Samuel Higgs / TPI Brynlee Alford logged 219 strikeouts this year for the Generals.

Horseshoe Bend’s Brynlee Alford saw her name called not just once, but twice on the Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State softball team. 

As just a sophomore, Alford was named a first-team All-State pitcher while walking away with the Pitcher of the Year distinction for Class 2A. And after the year she had, it was bound to happen sooner rather than later.
