Horseshoe Bend sends 15 to AHSAA Class 1A-3A state meet

Horseshoe Bend will be well represented at the AHSAA Class 1A-3A State Track and Field Meet at Cullman High School this weekend — send 15 Generals to compete in a multitude of events. 

It was just a great year overall for the Horseshoe Bend, full of record-breaking performances. Braxton Wilson set a school record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.41. The 4x800 meter relay team of Hudson Whiteard, Gunnar McDaniel, McKoy Locke and Connor Sharpe set a record of 10:23.14. Trent Higgins, Solomon Arnold, Kori Woods and Wilson set a record in the 4x100 meter relay race; 45.32. Then David Layfield, Heaton Scheler, Higgins and Arnold set a record in the 4x400 meter relay race with a time of 3:37.28.Â
