The future is bright: Central Coosa falls just short of Elite 8 berth

Samuel Higgs / TPI Central Coosa's Kaleb Ballard (5) dominated against Tuscaloosa with a team-high 22 points.

Sometimes even in a loss, a team needs to be proud of what it has accomplished. That sentiment rings true for the Central Coosa boys basketball team.

It faced arguably one of the best teams in all of Class 2A in the Sweet 16 in Tuscaloosa Academy, which has lost one game all year long. Despite this, Central Coosa took it down to the wire but ultimately fell 62-57.
