It feels like almost a new wrinkle is thrown into the realm of college sports daily. This week it was the multi-billion dollar settlement in the House vs. NCAA case.

To provide some insight into what exactly the case is, it all started with suits filed by Arizona State swimmer Grant House and then Oregon women’s basketball player Sedona Prince, along with other plaintiffs, against the NCAA and power conferences in June 2020. Their lawsuits pertained to conferences prohibiting student-athletes from compensating from Name, Image and Likeness but added an emphasis on revenue sharing from the lucrative TV deals made by the conferences and NCAA.
