At this point in the season, the area games get some added bonus. The area tournament is about a month away, and every team is fighting to improve its seed heading into it. 

For Stanhope Elmore, it certainly helped its case as being the host for the Class 5A Area 4 Tournament with its second sweep of the Benjamin Russell volleyball team on Tuesday, taking home the 3-0 win.
