A public forum at the Kellyton Civic Complex was packed to the brim as residents are working to figure out what they can do to stop a potential rock quarry from coming to the area.

The property in question lies just outside Kellyton town limits and butts up against U.S. Highway 280. The 331-acre parcel is completely within Coosa County, which does not have property use regulations.
