Nintendo announced the SNES Classic in late June, and fans across the globe roared with excitement. It’s the follow-up console to Nintendo’s massively successful NES Classic, a discontinued vintage system that came pre-loaded with a number of old games. When the NES Classic first hit store shelves, the initial stock was bought out in stores and online within minutes.

While the system was only supposed to retail for around $60, scalpers bought as many of the consoles as possible before the rest of us could get our hands on them – and now you can only find them on secondary markets like eBay for $200 or more.
