Mayor Johnny Hammock advised the Tallassee City Council that the Alabama Department of Transportation’s Aeronautics Division recently notified the city of violations at the municipal airport.
In order to bring the Reeves Airport up to ALDOT standards the city will have to make repairs to the airport’s runway, taxiway and apron. These repairs could cost the city $63,147.00.
