The American Arbitration Association ruled in favor of Tallapoosa County in a suit filed against the East Alabama Regional Solid Waste Disposal Authority and Waste Away Group Inc.

The ruling says that the county, along with others in the authority, can continue to use the Tallassee Waste Disposal Center and Sunflower Waste for garbage disposal, which is good news for Tallapoosa County, said Annette McGrady, county administrator.
