Usually when a baseball team from Canada is in Alabama, it is when the Toronto Blue Jays are flying to a game in Tampa Bay, but Dadeville and Benjamin Russell played Pickering and Sinclair High Schools from the Toronto area this week while the two teams are traveling for some early season play.

“This is our first game because the snow is just now beginning to melt in Canada,” Sinclair head coach Jeff Whent said. “Our timing was a little off tonight because this was the batters’ first time really facing a pitcher and not a hitting machine inside.”
