The inmate that escaped from Tallapoosa County Jail Sept. 10, 2004 has had his day in court. Arthur Dunson, 46, also known as “Shug” from Elkahatchee Road in Alexander City appeared before the court Wednesday according to Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force investigator Jay Turner.

“He pled guilty to the charges,” he said. “He was sentenced to two life sentences.”
