Again last week the state of Alabama was thrust into the national spotlight by Attorney General Luther Strange’s seemingly obsessive fight against gambling.

A panel of judges in Atlanta’s 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sat through the back and forth between Strange and attorneys for the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. The Indians operate three casinos in Alabama – with locations in Atmore, Montgomery and Wetumpka.
