Grant leads to purchase of generator, lights

Law enforcement agencies and fire departments throughout Tallapoosa County have seen the light thanks to a grant from the Department of Homeland Security.

After months of waiting, the Tallapoosa County Emergency Management Agency received two new portable emergency light and generator devices Tuesday for use by all emergency and medical personnel in the area. The two pieces of equipment were purchased through a $60,000 grant from homeland security.
