NEWSITE – For the sixth time this season, Class 2A, No. 7 Horseshoe Bend scored the runs it needed to win when it counted most – in its final at-bat.

Trailing Clay County 7-5 after 6 and 1/2 innings, the Generals’ Luke Smith hit a run-scoring sacrifice fly moments before Justin Watts hit a two-out single to score teammates Jered Mitchell from third base and Clay Phillips from second and win the game, 8-7.
