Jazz Fest key to area businesses

With Jazz Fest hitting Alexander City Friday, many local businesses are preparing for an influx of out-of-towners. Restaurants, stores and hotels will see thousands of more customers over the weekend, especially in areas in the direct vicinity of the event.

Marvin Wagoner, Alexander City Chamber of Commerce president, thinks this year’s 18th annual Jazz Fest will be like all the others – crowded, but a fun occasion for people of all ages.
