Two shootings, one week, one suspect arrested

The Level community in Wetumpka is feeling unsafe.

For weeks residents have been hearing gunshots. Finally, on April 19, a shooter, Daveyun Stinson, 20, was arrested after gunning down a victim inside Rev, a convenience store at the intersection of Highway 14 and Coosa River Parkway, according to the Wetumpka Police Department. The victim is recovering after several shots to the abdomen. It was just a week after gunshots rang out on South Shelby Street where one person was injured.
