A bill that would repeal the four percent state sales tax on groceries could go before the Alabama Senate for vote later this week.

If passed, Senate Bill 115 would amend the state constitution to repeal the state portion of sales tax on food items depending on the outcome of a statewide referendum, according to State Sen. Ted Little.
