Children participating in the city’s day camp program are doing more than just playing in the park this summer-they are also learning about how to stay safe while they are having fun.

Friday marked the end of the first week of the summer day camp program sponsored by the Alexander City Parks and Recreation department and activity director Julia Huff organized a bicycle safety presentation to teach the 70 campers how to avoid potential accidents or injury while riding around the neighborhood.
