U.S. Highway 280 has been under construction for a long time and now we are seeing progress in our area.

When a new section of the road was opened this week, it gave residents a safer route to travel. In a year’s time, the completed project should be done and that’s when the real work begins. Local leaders will have to decide how the expressway needs to be developed and then go about getting new businesses in the area. Four-laning Highway 280 is a positive for this community that has been in the works for a long time.
