Back in March I ran across a news article discussing a recent survey concerning religion in America. In most instances, I ignore surveys of any kind because I believe their usefulness is often compromised by the prejudices of their authors.

This one, however, caught my attention because it supposedly revealed important trends in how Americans view themselves from a religious perspective. Throughout most of my life Ive had a deep interest in religion. So, I delved into the article a little deeper thinking I might learn something important about Americas religious life.
