BOZEMAN, Mont. - It’s a big weekend for Montana politics, with absentee ballots heading to voters and Montana’s U.S. Senate Candidates squaring off in their first debate.

The four candidates in the race – Republican Kurt Alme, Democrat Alani Bankhead, Independent Seth Bodnar and Libertarian Kyle Austin – met in Bozeman for the debate hosted by the Montana Broadcaster Association and the Greater Montana Foundation. Cameron Maxwell, President and CEO of Desert Mountain Broadcasting, moderated the debate. A panel of Montana journalists from four broadcast companies, including Nonstop Local’s Ben Wineman, asked the candidates questions.
