Clifton Henderson

Funeral Services for Mr. Clifton Lee henderson will be held at Langley Funeral Home Chapel, at 2 PM on Monday, May 31, 2010, with Rev. Carl Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Tallapoosa Memory Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be from 1 PM until 2 PM Monday at Langley Funeral Home.

Mr. Henderson was born on March 18, 1923, to the late Benjamin Jessie Henderson and Maggie Lou Downs Henderson and passed away on May 29, 2010, at the age of 87. Mr. Henderson served in the U.S. Army during WW ll where he received the Bronze Star; the Distinguished Service Cross; the Good Conduct Medal and the WW ll Victory Medal. Mr. Henderson was employed and retired from West Point Pepperell in Opelika after 48 years of service and was also a member of Sardis United Methodist church. Mr. Henderson was a devoted husband, father, pawpaw and friend.
