As I was browsing on Facebook Thursday night, one of the page posts that caught my eye was from the Humane Society of Elmore County. In July alone the shelter took in 605 animals, the most in one month since July 2011 when 632 were left at the shelter.

That’s a lot of mouths to feed folks (and clean up after as well). And it costs money to take care of each and every one of them.
