These days, the History Channel ain’t what it used to be. Time was, the cable/satellite channel pretty much lived up to its name, but it’s now populated by all too many so-called “reality shows” like Pawn Stars and American Pickers. Seems like the only “history” to be found on such broadcasts these days are the tidbits of info that appear onscreen whenever someone brings some oddball item into a Las Vegas pawn shop.
