OUR VIEW: Fire Truck Santa truly a blessing for our community

For nearly five hours on both Monday and Tuesday, the Alexander City Parks and Recreation Department dedicated several employees and a ton of time to bring the town Santa on a fire truck for yet another year. What a blessing this is for our community.

The Alexander City Fire Department, which always is great about getting into the Christmas spirit, donated the fire truck and it was driven by Capt. Jeff Brewer. Routes that included several daycares, a handful of neighborhoods and tons of streets were picked out, and hot spots were even added this year for those that don’t live on the routes.
