Monday marks Memorial Day, the day to remember our veterans who have fallen in battle throughout history. For most, it’s a day off from work and the start of the summer, but we should remember it as more.

Memorial Day differs from Veterans Day, which is observed Nov. 11, because it explicitly remembers those who died from combat whereas the latter recognizes all who served.
