Spending a couple of weeks in the hospital is essentially like going off-grid for me. It’s an isolated environment and I tend to lose any semblance of order, time and space. I may be a little behind on current events, but I think I’ve caught up for the most part. Again, I’m feeling much better and looking forward to getting back in the swing of things. It’s actually a perfect time to look back at some outlandish predictions I made last summer and see just how wrong or right I was about the college football season. It’ll help me separate fact from fiction in my own mind.
PREDICTION: Texas defeats Baylor in the Big 12 title game and USC defeats Utah in the PAC 12 title game as they both win one final title on their way out. REALLY BAD: While the Longhorns did win their final Big 12 title while in the league, everything else about this prediction was a disaster. Utah and USC both ended up going 5-4 in the PAC 12 and neither were in contention. Baylor went 3-9, and was awful.
