There are things to do around here

Someone remarked to me the other night that they become really annoyed hearing people complain that there’s “nothing to do around here.”

I too have heard those complaints fairly frequently; and I understand that people would like to have a movie theater, bowling alley, putt-putt golf and other family-friendly entertainment venues close at hand. But I also understand the viewpoint my friend expressed.
