It’s been quite a while since I’ve written a smorgasbord style column, but this seems like the perfect week to wake up the echoes with such a jam packed weekend of sports. Let’s kick things off with Super Bowl LX. It was pretty much a dud, but that’s okay. I thought it was actually nice to see a little defense for a change. Everything seems to be about putting up big numbers on offense in the NFL and college football these days, but the Seahawks defense was overwhelming. They dominated the Patriots in a way seldom seen in modern football. The Patriot’s defense was really good as well, but overshadowed by the suffocating performance from the boys in Seattle. Former Tiger Derrick Hall had two sacks and one forced fumble.

I had a get together like practically everyone and the highlight of my night was the food. I always try to tailor the menu to the teams involved in the game and this year we had lobster bisque from Boston and crabcakes from Seattle — it was delicious. There were some pretty entertaining commercials too.

Andy Graham is a co-host of Auburn Blitz and his column appears here weekly.
