It’s official, Alabama has been my home for the last two months. In that short time I’ve learned a lot about this state, this community and myself along the way.

I’ve quickly learned that summers here in Elmore County are almost as brutal as they are back in Texas. I admit I had some delusions of escaping the blistering Texas summer heat, but the dog days of summer are here and it’s clear I was wrong.
