Edgewood set to face Autauga Academy in renewed rivalry

As the football season inches closer, Edgewood Academy’s fans and players will have one more thing to look forward to: a renewed rivalry game against Autauga Academy on October 16. Last week news broke that Autauga would be rejoining the AISA after two seasons in the AHSAA. In those two seasons, the Generals performed quite well in the AHSAA’s Class 1A, posting winning records and playoff appearances in each season. 

“This marks an exciting new chapter for our student-athletes, coaches and the entire Autauga Academy family,” the school wrote in a statement. “We are proud to once again compete in the AISA and look forward to new opportunities, renewed rivalries and familiar traditions that lie ahead.”
