Stanhope Elmore’s softball team attended the AHSAA Class 6A South Regional tournament on Monday, when it played its final two games of the season. The Mustangs finished in second place in Class 6A Area 4, behind Wetumpka. 

With a second-place finish, Stanhope Elmore qualified for the regional tournament. The Mustangs faced the Saraland Spartans in the opening round of the tournament, falling 15-0 in four innings of play. The Spartans (42-6-2) were ranked No. 2 in the Alabama Sports Writers Association's final poll of the season.

Stanhope Elmore’s Hayden Bush (7) posted one hit against Pike Road at the AHSAA Class 6A South Regional tournament. After two losses in the tournament, the Mustangs ended their season at 9-20 overall.
