Leadership is important in every sport, even in individual sports like wrestling. Over the last 20 years under Coach John Mask, Tallassee’s wrestling team has built a culture of leadership, supportive camaraderie and excellence.
On Friday, the Tigers beat Oak Grove, 42-30, to claim their second consecutive dual state championship. Despite its dominance, Tallassee’s win was not assured.
