For most things, the learning curve is as much part of the experience as the peak of success. Without those first few trials the success that follows means far less. That’s the case for Stanhope Elmore as it pursues its inaugural season of flag football under first-year coach Kashundra Davis. 

The Mustangs played their first live reps of the season last week in Wetumpka’s first-ever Battle for the Coosa flag football tournament. Ignoring the wins and losses, touchdowns scored and touchdowns allowed, Stanhope Elmore’s experience was ultimately successful as Demaia Bledson was offered a scholarship by Central Alabama Community College.
