The Stanhope Elmore Mustangs went out to Eclectic to face the Elmore County Panthers for a Thursday night inter-county, non-area competition.
SEHS’ girls team, coached by Eric Peterson, pulled out the win with a goal scored by Madeline Espy with just 49 seconds left to play. Despite spending most of the game on the offensive attack, the Panthers’ defense was stout and gave the SEHS a serious run for its money.
