High school is four years of a person’s life, a period of time so short that it could be insignificant. But that’s usually not the case. 

Teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18 are impressionable, optimistic and excited about life. Coaches, teachers, mentors all have the privilege of experiencing high school students at such a pivotal point in their lives.

File / TPI Tallassee senior Tania Alvarez (13) played her final game for the Tigers last week, sharing it with her coach, Matt Tarpley, who is also saying goodbye to the program. Alvarez plans to continue her soccer career at Faulkner University.
