For as long as I’ve watched sports, it has never ceased to amaze me the decisions made by select universities regarding coaching hires and fires. And I’m also constantly reminded I may not know as much as I think I do.  

I still remember when Luke Fickell got hired at Wisconsin after leading Cincinnati to the playoffs.  I thought it was a slam dunk hire, especially with how he gets to mooch off the benefit of being in the Big 10. Now, four years later, you wonder how he got the job in the first place.
