Wetumpka’s Juliana Eldridge is one of the premier high school wrestlers in the state, and she’s leading the charge for girls wrestling in and around Elmore County. For that reason, and of course her undeniable success on the wrestling mats, Eldridge is the first-ever Elmore County Girls Wrestler of the year.

“She’s been wrestling since she was little,” Wetumpka wrestling coach Josh Highland said. “When her family moved in from New York, her dad has a wrestling background and pedigree. It’s been great watching her grow from there and then being able to coach her through high school. Watching her make history has been great.”
